Pattern Formation with Inter-drone Collision Avoidance

This video contains the simulation of a swarm of drones (6 - Nos.) performing transition between the following patterns:
1. Line
2. Rectangle
3. Triangle
While performing the transition from one pattern to another, the collision between each vehicle is avoided by inter-drone collision avoidance.

Rectangle to Triangle Formation

In this video, initially, four drones were arranged in square/rectangle formation and rearranged to triangle formation. Inter-drone collision avoidance is included during this transition to avoid the chance for collision.

Rectangle to Line Formation

In this video, initially, four drones were arranged in square/rectangle formation and rearranged to line formation. Inter-drone collision avoidance is included during this transition to avoid the chance for collision.

Square Formation - Rotation

Rotation of four drones, arranged in the form of a square/rectangle.

Triangle Formation - Rotation

Rotation of four drones, arranged in the form of a triangle.

Testing - Inter-drone Collision Avoidance (Two Models)

Field Testing - Inter-drone collision avoidance with two drones.

Cube - Rotation

Rotation of eight drones which replicates the shape of a cube.

Bird Like Formation

The transition of eight drones from rectangle to the bird-like formation and the drones replicate the action similar to the flapping of wings.
